Massage Therapy and Healing Arts

About the Practitioner

Naomi Mazy is a California Licensed Massage Therapist and registered yoga teacher, with over 16 years of experience as an MT, around 19 years in yoga and meditation practices. Her journey began in meditation and yoga when she was around 18 and seeking her own healing from trauma and lack of purpose. It transformed her and her attitude about life and lit a fire within her. She got into massage therapy soon after beginning to receive massage from a therapist in Pennsylvania who inspired her to pursue this work.

Naomi soon after this realization enrolled in a small family run school, East West School of Therapeutic Massage's 612 hour program, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Several months after graduating she traveled to Nasik, India where she took 200+ hours of Yoga Teacher Training, graduating in good standard. Upon her return she immediately began teaching yoga and opened a massage practice within an established Chiropractic business. She also studied Reiki, getting attuned in levels 1 and 2 and some craniosacral in California, where she now resides. She provides a wide array of styles and techniques, some she has developed on her own, to meet each individual clients needs. She also offers specific sessions like: energy-work and craniosacral healing sessions and yogic massage sessions. She also is enjoys working with prenatal clients and took Cornerstone Doula training and postpartum training a few years back, though she does not practice this work in her career at this time, it has helped her become a better MT to pregnant humans and new mothers.

She has been residing in Oakland for the last 13 years, where she is active in the community known for her passion with helping those in need, she has worked with Food Not Bombs which led to creating and being the core organizer of the West Oakland Holistic Community Clinic & Cafe project for underserved communities, the houseless, and QTBIPOC. She also works with Harm Reduction and trains others to use Narcan to help save lives from opiate overdose. Naomi became the first massage therapist state funded, by grants, to provide massage therapy at the Trans Thrive Clinic in SF.

Today, Naomi is a single mother to an awesome 4 year old and is getting back into her passion of massage therapy as the pandemic eases up. She is also a student pursuing a major in psychology, with an interest in mental health, and somatic therapy. She plans to study more CranioSacral and expand her brand: Autonomous Healing Arts. On her free time she spends time in Nature with her son, gardens, cooks, reads,  writes poetry, makes DIY products, and travels when able.

in Thailand spring of 2018 where I learned a lot from the Thai massage therapists  and their profound style and quality of massage and approach to wellness, that is an integral part of their culture and society
